Pine forest at the tip of the Ermioni peninsula: small beach, remains of a Byzantine fort and an ancient temple to Poseidon..

This 9-hectare pine forest (Άλσος Μπίστι/Alsos Bisti) occupies the tip of the Ermioni peninsula. Featuring a small pebble beach (to the north, near the village), it is home to the remains of a Byzantine fort and, further out, those of a temple to Poseidon built in the late 6th century BCC. It was here that the city of Hermione developed from the 11th century B.C. Following the paths to the end of the peninsula, you come to an old 19th-century mill and a small metal lighthouse, where you can enjoy beautiful views over Dokos and Hydra.
