The "Bon cœur" restaurant (Η Καλή Καρδιά) overlooks Vathi beach, a little way off the Gythio-Areopoli road. In the stone hall or on the terrace, well-executed Maniote specialties have been served here since 1945: travichti pita (a kind of white pizza served with cheese), makaronada tsouchti (linguine, grated mizithra, butter and fried eggs), bifteki provio (minced lamb with herbs), kagianas (scrambled eggs with tomato)... And also: free-range chicken, kebabs and salads. Finish with a lemon granita.
