This museum (Στρατιωτικό Μουσείο Καλαμάτας/Stratiotiko Mousio Kalamatas) is an annex of the War Museum in Athens. It looks back at the conflicts in which Messenians have taken part since 1821. Weapons, uniforms and equipment from the War of Independence (1821-1829), the Balkan Wars (1912-1913), with here an evzone uniform, the Greco-Turkish War (1919-1922)... In the courtyard: M48 Patton tank, M8 Greyhound armored vehicle and American-made Northrop F-5 fighter.
