This small international airport (Αερολιμένας Αράξου/Aerolimenas Araxou) is located on Cape Araxos, at the northwestern tip of the Peloponnese, near Patras and 87 km north of Olympia. It is primarily a military base, with two squadrons of Hellenic Air Force F-16s stationed here. In summer, the airport is linked to several European cities, including Brussels, twice weekly with TUI fly Belgium. On-site: car rental, cabs and KTEL bus to Patras (2/day). Nearby: beaches, lagoons and Strofylia nature park.
