This port (Βόρειο Λιμάνι/Vorio Limani) handles ferries and fast boats to the islands of Ithaca and Cephalonia. It has two entrance gates (1 and 7) and is located next to Patras' main bus and train stations. There's also the South Port (Νότιο Λιμάνι/Notio Limani), 3 km to the southwest. Established in 2011, it welcomes ships bound for Italy, mainly for the ports of Brindisi, Bari, Ancona, Trieste, Ravenna and Venice. Some stop off in Greece, at Igoumenitsa and Corfu.
