AMFISSA ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
Small museum featuring discoveries made in Phocis, outside the Delphi site: statue of Persephone, Corinthian helmet..
This small museum (Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο Άμφισσας/Archaiologiko Mousio Amfissas) occupies a pretty neoclassical house. It brings together discoveries made in Phocis: numismatic collection, statue of Persephone (c. 300 BC), Corinthian bronze helmet (c. 500 BC)... Many objects come from the ancient port city of Cirrha (near Itea, southwest of Delphi), which made its fortune by robbing pilgrims from the sanctuary of Apollo!
