This restaurant (Καπλάνης) is Arachova's oldest and most famous tavern. It serves good local cuisine. In the large room with a high ceiling, flanked by two fireplaces, you can enjoy: herb pie, black beans, koloutholachana (zucchini stew), rooster in wine sauce, stuffed cabbage rolls, lamb fricassee and grilled meat on request. For dessert, ask for pumpkin pie sweetened with grape juice syrup. In summer, you'll be served on the terrace under the plane trees.
