One of the most beautiful caves in Greece. 45-minute guided tour (explanations are approximate). Superb limestone concretions.
This cave (Σπήλαιο Περάματος/Spilaio Peramatos) is one of the most beautiful in Greece. Formed 1.4 million years ago, it stretches 5 km in length and served as a refuge for the inhabitants during the Italian bombardments of 1940. A 45-minute guided tour takes in 1 km of superb limestone concretions (stalagmites, stalactites...). The exit is via a 163-step staircase, and you'll need to bring a sweater (temperature 18°C). The English explanations are not very clear and the lighting is too bright.

Είναι ωραίο αλλά για άτομα που δεν δυσκολεύονται στην κίνηση κ δεν έχουν πρόβλημα με γόνατα/πόδια .
The cave is absolutely amazing.
Our guide was brilliant and managed to guide us in English and a large group of school children in Greek.
It's a long walk in the cave with many steps but worth the effort.
