One of the most beautiful caves in Greece. 45-minute guided tour (explanations are approximate). Superb limestone concretions.
This cave (Σπήλαιο Περάματος/Spilaio Peramatos) is one of the most beautiful in Greece. Formed 1.4 million years ago, it stretches 5 km in length and served as a refuge for the inhabitants during the Italian bombardments of 1940. A 45-minute guided tour takes in 1 km of superb limestone concretions (stalagmites, stalactites...). The exit is via a 163-step staircase, and you'll need to bring a sweater (temperature 18°C). The English explanations are not very clear and the lighting is too bright.

Επίσκεψη Σάββατο πρωί. Αναμονή γύρω στα 30'. Ξενάγηση γύρω στα 45'-60' Το σπήλαιο είναι πολύ εντυπωσιακό, σίγουρα αξίζει να το δεις. Η ξεναγός πολύ ευγενική. Στο τέλος, προς την έξοδο έχει αρκετά σκαλιά, γύρω στα 100, ίσως και παραπάνω, είναι αρκετά κουραστικό αυτό, αλλά και πάλι, σίγουρα αξίζει.

Ένα υπέροχο φυσικό αξιοθέατο ίσως το ομορφότερο και μεγαλύτερο επισκέψιμο σπήλαιο στην Ελλάδα! Έμεινα έκθαμβος από τόσες θαυμάσιες εικόνες που είδα: σταλακτίτες, σταλαγμίτες, κολώνες και διάφορα σχήματα που σχηματίζουν τα πετρώματα και με λίγη φαντασία φαίνονται σαν σταυροί, ψάρια κ.λ.π. Η δημιουργία της φύσης σε όλο της το μεγαλείο! Για τα γκρουπ υπάρχει ξενάγηση, για τους μεμονωμένους επισκέπτες δεν ξέρω. Είναι κάπως κουραστικά τα πολλά σκαλιά προς την έξοδο. Τέλος όταν βγεις έξω έχεις πολύ καλή θέα προς την λίμνη Παμβώτιδα..

Αξίζει να το επισκεφτείς όταν πας στα Γιάννενα. Πήγαμε νωρίς το πρωί και δεν είχε αναμονή. Κατά τη διάρκεια της ημέρας έχει αναμονή και θέλει υπομονη
