Housed in a beautiful slate-roofed house, this museum (Πινακοθήκη Αβέρωφ/Pinakothèque Averoff) presents 250 works by some of the finest Greek artists of the 19th and 20th centuries. Among the paintings, note in particular The Little Watermelon Eater (1881) by Pericles Pantazis, Erotic (1989) by Yannis Moralis and A Hot Day (1996) by Alekos Fassianos. The museum was founded in 1988 by politician Evangelos Averoff-Tositsas (1910-1990), grand-nephew of Giorgos Averoff, a great Aromanian philanthropist from Metsovo.
