No undercover East German agents here, just a "stop" (I Στάση) on pretty Kalithea Square, along the eastern rampart. This cooperative tavern serves tasty cuisine: wild arugula salad, smoked and grilled mackerel, pan-fried oyster mushrooms, Florina peppers with shrimps, Smyrna dumplings with kefalotyri shavings, pork chops with balsamic vinegar... And, to finish, a sweet tart or a Xanthi "Turkish-style" coffee with loukoum. Don't come too late to get a table on the small terrace.

Συνεργατικό καφενείο, εναλλακτικό με νέο κόσμο κυρίως αλλά όχι μόνο, πολύ ωραίο φαγητό κ τίμιες τιμές. Το συκώτι που δοκίμασα παραπολυ καλό! Πατάτα οφτη επίσης καλή.

I live near Stasi and my friends and I really like to have lunch there. Food is delicious and different. Prices good. People who run it are really helpful and friendly. Honestly dont want to go anywhere else. Just great.
