No undercover East German agents here, just a "stop" (I Στάση) on pretty Kalithea Square, along the eastern rampart. This cooperative tavern serves tasty cuisine: wild arugula salad, smoked and grilled mackerel, pan-fried oyster mushrooms, Florina peppers with shrimps, Smyrna dumplings with kefalotyri shavings, pork chops with balsamic vinegar... And, to finish, a sweet tart or a Xanthi "Turkish-style" coffee with loukoum. Don't come too late to get a table on the small terrace.

Ωραιο μπαροκαφενειο σε ωραια θεση. Το φαγητο καλο σε σχεση με την τιμη, κυριως τυπου μεζε. Η εξυπηρετηση λιγο αργη αλλα φιλοτιμη!
