This popular restaurant (Τα Μπακαλιαράκια του Αρίστου) serves practically just one dish, bakaliarakia: fried cod. And if it's anything like English fish and chips, it's because it's the same heritage of Portugal's Jewish diaspora. The only difference is that here, it's served with skordalia (garlic purée). Note that the neighboring restaurant Bakaliarakia sto Limani offers the same Judeo-Thessalonian specialty.

2 κομμάτια μπακαλιάρου, μια μερίδα πατάτες, μια τέλεια σκορδαλιά, μια χόρτα, ωραίο ψωμάκι κι ένα εμφιαλωμένο τσιπουρακι 40 ευρώ. Όχι οικονομικό, αλλά πολύ νόστιμο. Αρνούνται να σερβίρουν νερό βρύσης. Γενικά εχει σταθερούς πελάτες, σε ώρες αιχμής πολυκοσμία κ φασαρια!
