This church, built around 1360 (Καθολικό Ιεράς Μονής Βλατάδων/Katholiko Ieras Monis Vlatadon) is one of 15 monuments in Thessaloniki listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site. It is part of the Vlatadon monastery, probably founded by two Cretan monks, the Vlati brothers. Converted into a mosque between 1387 and 1403, it retains its original frescoes and the sanctuary of an earlier church. Outside: peacocks and beautiful views.
