PLACE LOULOUDADIKA
The small "flower market" square (Λουλουδάδικα) is charming with two florists' kiosks, café and restaurant terraces and an elegant Ottoman hammam sometimes used as an expo venue (750m2). Dating from the 16th century and inactive since the fire of 1917, the latter retains its Turkish names of Yahudi Hamam ("Jewish hammam") and Pazar Hamam ("bazaar hammam"): it was used by the Jewish population and marked the entrance to the large central market. Today, the Modiano (50 m to the east) and Kapani (150 m to the north) markets are nearby.
