Located on the pedestrian street Gounari, opposite the church Nea Panagia (1727), this pastry shop (Τρίγωνα Ελενίδης) is famous for its trigona panoramatos: a triangle of caramel phyllo dough filled with custard. Not too sweet, but quite calorific all the same, this local specialty was perfected in the 1940s by Yiannis Elenidis, in Panorama, a chic suburb in the heights, southeast of the city center. The store, which opened here in 1960, also offers homemade ice creams, baklava, orange cake..
