KRIARITSI BEACH

This beautiful secluded cove (Παραλία Κριαρίτσι) is located between Kalamitsi and Sykia, in the easternmost part of the Sithonia peninsula. It's very easy to get to, with plenty of small asphalt roads. Created in 2018, this strange network was intended to serve a complex of 3,000 villas that never saw the light of day. Because, in Greece, property developers have to build the roads before they can sell the plots. All over the country, projects of this type have fallen through, leaving behind thousands of kilometers of (almost) useless road.
