Application must be made two months in advance (2 to 3 weeks are sometimes sufficient), together with a copy of identity papers and a questionnaire (religion, purpose of journey, etc.). The number of non-orthodox visitors is limited to 10 per day. And you must contact the monasteries where you wish to stay.
