AGII ANARGYRI CHURCH IN KASTRORIA
Three-aisled church featuring frescoes, in particular a beautiful scene from the Lamentation of Christ.
This 10th-century three-aisled church (Ιερός Ναός Αγίων Αναργύρων) preserves 12th-century frescoes. It is dedicated to Saints Como and Damian, doctors who healed "without money" (anargyri), and depicted on the porch. Inside: portraits of the donors (Theodoros Limniotis and Anna Radini), a scene from the Lamentation of Christ (which influenced Balkan painters), as well as fragments of 10th-century frescoes (heads of saints Basil and Nicholas).
