Cave with a single nave church in Aghios Achilleos.
This ancient hermitage (Ασκηταριό Παναγίας Ελεούσας/Askitario Panagias Eleousas) was founded in 1409. It is located near the Albanian border, in a hollow overlooking the large Lake Prespa. The interior of the chapel is entirely frescoed. In the lower register: portraits of saints Demetrios, George, Roman the Melodious, Simeon the Stylite, Stephen and Old Testament prophets. Above: depictions of the twelve great feasts, the Passion, Ascension and Transfiguration of Christ.
