This ancient monastery (Ιερά Μονή Παναγίας Πορφύρας/Iera Moni Panagias Porfyras) was founded in 1524. Amid the ruins of the annex buildings, the catholicon preserves frescoes from the 15th century, including the scene of the Dormition of the Virgin and a portrait of the Virgin Vrefokratousa ("holding the Child"), and from the 18th century, including a depiction of the Virgin of the Blachernes and portraits of St. Germain of Epirus and St. Achilles of Larissa.
