Opened in 1997, the restaurant "de Veria" (Βεργιώτικο) is renowned throughout the region for its cuts of beef and seasonal cuisine inspired by Greece, France, Spain and Italy. Chef Nikos Malliaras selects, cuts and matures his own local and foreign meats, prepares superb simmered dishes and takes particular care with presentation. A truly "gastro" address, but not that expensive. Nice Macedonian wine list and pleasant little terrace. Reservations recommended.
