VERIA ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
Museum with garden featuring objects from the Paleolithic to the Roman period: sculptures, burials, utensils, weapons, etc.
This small museum (Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο/Archaiologiko Mousio) brings together objects from the Paleolithic to the Roman period in a modern building and its garden. Outside, the visitor is greeted by a large marble sculpture of Medusa's head dating from the 2nd century BC. Inside, the centerpiece is a 2nd-century AD bust of the river god Olganos (now the River Arapitsa in Naoussa) in the guise of Alexander the Great.
