MIEZA ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE

This site (Αρχαιολογικός Χώρος Μίεζας/Archaiologikos Choros Miezas) brings together in several places the remains of Mieza, which was one of the richest cities of the Kingdom of Macedonia from the ^4th to ^2nd centuries BC. Near the so-called "Kinch Tomb" (c. 300-250 B.C.), located along the main road, are the magnificent "Judgment Tomb" (c. 325-300 B.C.), decorated with frescoes depicting the deceased, and the Greco-Roman Theatre (^2nd century B.C.).
