MIEZA ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE
A multi-sited site containing the remains of the ancient city of Mieza: Macedonian tombs and a Greco-Roman theater.
This site (Αρχαιολογικός Χώρος Μίεζας/Archaiologikos Choros Miezas) brings together in several places the remains of Mieza, which was one of the richest cities of the Kingdom of Macedonia from the 4th to the 2nd century BC. Near the so-called "Tomb of Kinch" (c. 300-250 BC), located along the main road, are the magnificent "Tomb of the Judgement" (c. 325-300 BC), decorated with frescoes depicting the deceased, and the theater (2nd century BC).
