RODOSTAMO
This restaurant (Ροδόσταμο) enjoys a charming setting, near the small lake in Agia Varvara Park. On the menu, classic Greek dishes, but also old Byzantine-Ottoman specialties: havuç tarator (yoghurt with carrots), bouyurdi (baked cheese with bell pepper and tomato), hunkyar beyendi (meat and eggplant), liver with caramelized onions... And to keep with the oriental ambience, the decor pays tribute to Gülbahar Hatun (c. 1453-1505), Greek wife of Sultan Bayézid II. A pleasant stopover after a visit to the Archaeological Museum (450 m away).
