This tavern (Ταβέρνα Τα Πλατάνια) is located in a place prized for its coolness in summer: under the plane trees (hence the name), near the source of the Kefalari River and along another stream, the Zigaktis. The cuisine here is simple, popular and inexpensive: grilled meats, squid and barbecued farmed trout from nearby ponds. All accompanied by salads, stuffed vine leaves, zucchini petals and home fries. And don't forget the ice cream cones for dessert.
