TRA
A small peasant building that served as a refuge during the summer months, as a larder or to store cheese.
It is at the edge of the hiking trail that goes up from Murat-le-Quaire to the banne d'Ordanche that the Auvergna'ttitude team reconstituted a tra. A small peasant building dating from the 14th century, it was used as a refuge during the summer, as a larder or to store cheese. Under the expertise of the archaeologist Frédéric Surmely, the techniques and materials used at the time are respected. It took the collective 200 hours of work to complete this project. On the spot, a panel informs the curious about this still unknown local heritage.
