MUSEUM OF PAINTERS OF THE SCHOOL OF MUROL
Museum gathering a collection of works by 50 artists whose originality lies in the representation of snowy landscapes.
From the beginning of the 19th century, the site of Murol was frequented by artists (the romantics Paul Huet, Théodore Rousseau, Jean-François Millet...) but above all, it welcomed in the first part of the 20th century, a pleiad of painters, some of whom were in the impressionist tradition. The museum gathers a collection of works by 50 artists whose originality lies in the representation of snowy landscapes. They plunge us in the continuation of impressionism and fauvism.
