PUY DE BESSOLLES
A puy giving a panoramic view on the Mont-Dore, Murol as well as the lake Chambon, allowing also to visit the Roche Romaine.
The summit of the puy de Bessolles can be reached in one hour on foot (round trip), by paths, sometimes forest paths in the middle of the beech trees, or along the edge of the plateau. At the top, the reward takes the form of a beautiful panorama on the Mont-Dore, Murol and the lake Chambon. You will find it hard to leave this little corner of paradise! It is also the occasion to visit the "Celtic huts", dry stone huts probably dating from the Gallo-Roman period and built with huge basalt organs. The Roman Rock is also worth a visit.
