Highest point in Pelion, at 1,624 meters above sea level. Access via a 17.2 km "difficult" trail between Makrinitsa and Pouri.
At an altitude of 1,624 m, the peak of "La Croix de Pouri" (Πουριανός Σταυρός) is the highest point in Pelion. It owes its name to the village of Pouri/Πουρί located on the eastern slope, 7 km by road northwest of Chorefto. It can be reached by a 17.2 km trail from Makrinitsa to Pouri (approx. 7h walk with stops). The trail offers superb views, but is classified as "difficult". In addition, the summit itself is occupied by an air force radar: you need to go around it or ask for permission.
