In the center of the small coastal town of Nea Anchialos, this site (Παλαιοχριστιανικές Φθιώτιδες Θήβες/Palaiochristianikes Fthiotides Thives) houses the remains of the Theban city of Phthiotides, founded in the 4th century BC and abandoned in the 7th century. Above all, the remains of four Christian basilicas dating from the5th to17th centuries can be seen. Beautiful mosaics in Basilica C, dedicated to St. Peter. To Giousouri beach and tavern, 600 m to the south.
