A fine museum of archaeology and history. The centerpiece is a sculpted "menhir" from the millennium BC.
This modern museum (Διαχρονικό Μουσείο/Diachroniko Mousio) is dedicated to the history of the Larissa and Trikala regions "through" (dia) "time" (chronos). It features objects from prehistory to the Ottoman era. The centerpiece is the "Menhir", a 2.15 m-high sculpted stele from the 3rd millennium BC. Other exhibits include elephant tusk fossils from the Tempé Valley, gold objects, mosaics, icons and more. Large park next door.
