Ferry. The ferries are relatively few for Hydra. Most of the connections are made by hydrofoil. Moreover, the ferries that can carry cars are of relatively relative utility, since the island does not accept the… cars! In summer, at least four ferry connections per day with Athens (approximately 2:30 a. m.). In Athens, the departure is made from Piraeus, left by watching the sea, near the place Themistokleous.

Hydrofoil. More frequent than ferries. Athens-Hydra: ten connections per day by hydrofoil with Le Prée (usually 1:45 a. m. cross-section and 28 €, variable according to company and route).

Links with the other islands. With Spetses, Egine, Poros. Caicos also commute several times a day with the nearby islands of Mandraki, Kaminia and Vlyhos. Attention, in season, rates are often not given… Links with the Peloponnesis: a ferry daily by ferry with Ermioni, Porto Heli and Methana.

Yachting. Marine currents and northwest wind, to be safe head towards the north wharf. It's hard to find a place in summer. You may have to wet in Mandraki, a small harbor exposed to the north wind. Customs and possible supply of water and food.
