HYDRA BEACHES
Not exactly the island's specialty, they are generally made of unwelcoming pebbles, but a few are well worth a visit. In the town of Hydra, everyone swims near the cemented rocks that line the harbor. At the western end of the harbor, you'll find the pebble beach of Bitsi, which has its own diving center. It's not too crowded and the water is turquoise. Families will prefer Kamini beach, a 20-minute walk to the west of the port. Mandraki beach, to the east of the port, is a little larger than the average Hydriote.
