Not a monument that stretches out in itself, but the proud posture of Laskarina Bouboulina is the image of the island and the lady is impressive. A heroic figure of the war of independence, Bouboulina was born in a prison in Istanbul but grew up partly on Spetses Island. She had ships built with the money of his successive husbands in order to fight the Ottoman occupation. A Bouboulina film was released in 1959 by Kostas Andritsos, with Irène Papas in the main role.

Bel hommage à une héroïne
Belle statue érigée devant le port de Dapia et imposante sur l'esplanade, on lit la volonté farouche de l'héroïne locale. Ne pas la rater en vous promenant au front de mer.
