The great beach of Flabouriani is guarded by this fascinating church. Take time to explore its outdoor spaces. Already, the monastery (Παναγιά Φλαμπουριανή) is built on the edge of a cliff. More importantly, according to tradition, the footprints seen on the beach leading up to the church are said to be those of the Virgin Mary. Note also that the beach below, of sand and pebbles, is pleasant and shady. Every year in August, fragrant lilies bloom on the seafront.
