ISLET OF AGHIOS LOUKAS
The island is connected to Kythnos by the beaches of Kolona and Fikiada.
Linked to Kythnos by the beaches of Kolona and Fikiada and a narrow strip of sand, this islet (Άγιος Λουκάς) is dotted with archaeological remains dating back to Roman times. It housed the agora of a very extensive ancient city since its center was about 3 km to the south, where you'll see the remains of Vriokastro. Today, a chapel dedicated to Saint Luke dominates the islet. Kolona beach is a narrow strip of golden sand linking Kythnos to the islet. However, it has a special charm, hemmed in by the sea on both sides.
