FARO BEACHES
The seaside of Faros offers some small successive sandy beaches: shaded, they are mostly frequented by families and shallow. This is the case of Glipho beach, to the right of the fishing port: from there, you will see an industrial ruin on the rocks on the right that lead to Chrysopigi, a real little wonder. This is the old structure that descended from the silver mines to a wharf where ships would come to load the ore and transport it beyond Sifnos.
On the other side of the port, by climbing a hill on the left (looking at the sea), you will arrive at Fassolou, a larger beach and also pleasant because it is shaded. It enjoys a beautiful view of the church and the Chrysopigi rock in the distance. The entrance to the bay is protected by the Timios Stavros monastery, located near the lighthouse. Put like that, you might think it's complicated, but not at all! And we're rewarded!
