As you emerge onto Vathi beach from the parking lot or bus stop, you come across this little blue taverna (its name means "deep blue"). At the water's edge, with the waves crashing at its feet, you stop for a pleasant lunch or dinner in the setting sun. On a small terrace, this tavern serves grilled fish, Sifnos seafood dishes, lobster spaghetti, shrimps or sea urchins. You'll feel much more comfortable here than under the sometimes stuffy tamarisk trees of Tsikali.
