HORIO

The inner part dates from the ^13th century and the outer part from the ^17th century. The three main gates have been preserved: they ensured the security of the impregnable city. Chorio also boasts a number of beautiful churches, including Aghios Nikolaos (^17th century), Aghios Giorgios and Aghios Chrysostomos (1608). During the day, it's absolutely quiet and the village looks like something out of a postcard. Whitewashed alleyways miraculously lead to small squares where life returns at the end of the day...
