APHRODITE OF MILOS * *
Milos is the fifth largest island in the Cyclades, covering an area of 158 square kilometers. The island boasts an exceptional natural harbor, considered one of the largest and safest in the Mediterranean. The island's population is around 5,000, spread over eight villages, including Plaka, the capital, Tripiti, Triovasalos, Pera Triovasalos, Pollonia, Zefiria and Adamantas, the port. The island also boasts several lively coastal villages during the summer months. The climate on Milos is mild and Mediterranean, with plenty of sunshine most of the time. From mid-July to mid-August, there are frequent winds (periodic northerly winds), while southerly winds are generally infrequent and light. Milos is renowned for its mineral-rich volcanic soil, which was the first source of wealth for islanders of all ages and continues today. The island boasts many small and large beaches, sea caves and beautiful volcanic geomorphological formations, which are responsible for the island's tourism boom. Let your dreams emerge in the arms of Venus and become one with the sun and the clear blue waters.
