AGHIOS GEORGIOS
Isolated pebble beach in Pano Meria with a chapel dedicated to St. George.
This secluded pebble beach at the northeastern tip of the island is very exposed to waves and wind. Easily accessible by scooter or car, it is signposted from the main road: beyond Chrysopigi, a dirt road branches off to the right to this fairly wide bay with clear waters (allow 10 minutes). Tamarisk trees offer shade and the area is guarded by a small chapel dedicated to Saint George. On the way, you can also stop in the small cove of Lygaria, a little more sandy.
