THE GORGES OF THE WORLD
The Gorges de la Monne is a Natura 2000 site, home to an impressive diversity of flora and fauna.
Partly classified as a Natura 2000 area, the gorges de la Monne are home to remarkable flora and fauna. Starting out from Olloix, a signposted 5.5 km trail leads you through this charming site. Follow the Monne, a wild river that flows through the valley with torrential force. Its gorges offer a complete change of scenery. Along the way, admire the waterfall and the Marmite des Géants, then cross the old Riberolles stone bridge. With a significant difference in altitude of around 200 m, allow 1h30 to 2h for this hike.
