AVANT GARDEN

This restaurant, the latest addition to Ermoupoli's fine establishments, is housed in a lovely interior garden, opposite the Apollon theater. At the Avant Garden - the avant-garde - the menu is sophisticated, skilfully prepared by Konstantinos Bourantas, who worked in various Michelin-starred restaurants in London and Belgium before settling here with his wife. Their wine list includes some very good Greek bottles to discover the national wines. On the menu, fresh and successful creations and rather copious portions for a gastro restaurant.
