This small village, close to Poseidonia, has a pleasant setting with palm trees and a small beach. Finikas beach (φοίνικας) is shaped like a small bay and its harbor is the second largest on Syros, after the port of Ermoupolis. In fact, many fishing boats and yachts dock at the port, as it is sheltered from the summer winds from the north, the famous meltem, so common on the Aegean islands. Numerous seaside tavernas offer delicious fish dishes at reasonable prices. Rooms are also available.
