This is the beating heart of social life in Antiparos. Under the hundred-year-old tree, people meet from the first hours of the day and take turns until the middle of the night. At the traditional kafeneio , the older people come for morning coffee and then leave the place during siesta time, before coming back when the heat falls to share a game of tavli (backgammon). At the stroke of 6 pm, you will see tables and tables of players concentrated on a frenzied game of tavli (backgammon), largely commented on by their companions.
