ROCHEFORT-MONTAGNE
This ancient place, which belonged to the dolphins of Auvergne, also an important judicial center in the Middle Ages, developed in the eighteenth century thanks to the construction of the royal road linking Clermont to Aurillac. The manufacture of the furnace remains an important activity, with 120 tons insured in the year by a dozen producers. A cheese fair is held every summer. The village houses narrow streets and beautiful roofs of lauze, close to the Roche-Tuilière forces! Nearby, the Ebert Peak offers magnificent views of the puys.
