Archaeological site 12 km from Batsi for a cultural hike.
A cultural hike. to follow it, continue on foot from the village of Stavropeda. A tip: write "Αρχαικός οικισμός Ζαγοράς" in Google Maps to find the ruins overlooking the sea 160 m above sea level. This ancient city was inhabited between the 10th and 8th centuries BC. While most of the artefacts discovered here are on display at the Chora Archaeological Museum, you can still see the foundations of the fortification walls and the ruins of a temple probably dedicated to the goddess Athena (6th century BC).
