One of the nicest hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Everyone was so hospitable, the hotel is gorgeous, right on the main area but tucked away and very private and quiet. Food is delicious - the breakfast in our room every morning was beyond. Wonderful!

Stop looking at reviews for hotels for Oia, and book Alta Mare by Andronis!!! Take it from a Type A planner who did tons of research before my vacation to Greece - stop searching and book this hotel. My husband and I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights to celebrate our very belated honeymoon and the hotel and staff exceeded my expectations. This is honestly one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at, and I travel fairly often and typically stay at nice hotels. The staff were kind and extremely responsive. They were available by WhatsApp, and seamlessly and quickly helped arrange taxis and reservations. The room itself was beautiful, with nice extra touches including a pillow menu, huge closet with a large full-length mirror, complimentary bottled water (you can't drink the tap water in Santorini), and more. The breakfast delivered to your room every morning was delicious. I am gluten-free and they were incredibly accommodating. The location of the hotel is perfect. It's right by everything in Oia, but still feels very secluded and romantic. You're a 2-min walk from the bus stop if you'd like to explore Santorini. Another HUGE plus is that you get access to the other beautiful Andronis properties in Santorini. The Andronis Arcadia is a quick 10-minute walk and the staff made us reservations for sunset drinks, massages, and a pool day at the property. We were treated so well at this sister property and it was nice to experience another hotel.

Amazing experience. Amazing service from all the staff. Accommodations are amazing as well. Was so worth spending our 10th anniversary there. Would highly recommend.

WOW! If you’re traveling to Santorini you must stay at Alta Mare. My husband and I stayed for four nights and were blown away. The hotel is in a prime location, just a short walk up stairs to the main pedestrian pathway in Oia and close to many restaurants. The room was stunning. Very clean and the breakfast in the morning is delicious. You must try the OJ and freddo cappucinno! The best thing about this hotel is the staff. I would give them 10 stars. They go above and beyond to make your stay special and are an absolute blast to talk to. Whether that means helping to arrange food reservations, recommending activities to do, or being so prompt in replying to messages, they made the stay magical. Not only are they professional, they are so kind and patient. We hope to be staying here again soon!!

Spectacular experience! We loved every second of our stay here, highly recommend staying at any of the Andronis properties. Panos and the rest of the staff go above and beyond to ensure you have amazing trip, including last minute dinner reservations at restaurants we couldn’t get into on our own.

Had a great stay at Alta Mare for my honeymoon. The staff were so pleasant and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and the views were incredible. This hotel was in a great location right in the middle of the walking strip. It’s a short walk to the bus stop and Ammoudi Bay. You also get access to their sister hotels which I wasn’t aware of until we checked in. We made our way to Andronis Arcadia to use their amazing pool! I would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in July 2023.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the hotel manager and his colleague. They carried our luggage and walked us up to the hotel from our taxi drop off point. When we got there, another member of staff gave us a glass of wine and tour of our room. We were so blown away by the view from our balcony! He also showed us a map of Oia and made some recommendations of what to do during our stay. Once we got settled, his colleague came in with a chilled bottle of white wine and snack. It was a lovely welcome.
The full breakfast was also incredible. There was so much choice for both vegetarians and meat eaters. We were able to choose a time too and this was delivered to our room each day.

The room itself (romance suite) was huge. The outdoor area was great too-including the jacuzzi. They turned the temperature off for us too on our request as it meant we could cool down!

The staff also fixed the handle on my suitcase broke for me before we checked out!

The whole stay was just so relaxing and comfortable due to the staff.

Oia is also gorgeous. We had such a great time and if we return, we will definitely stay here again!

Amazing stay. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 4 nights and each one was wonderful.
The staff met us at the taxi drop off point and carried our luggage in the blistering heat to our suite.
We were welcomed with a greek drink and a tour of the room by a very helpful and professional member of staff.
The breakfasts are lovely, and there is a lot of choice when customising.

The facilities are all clean and well maintained.

The manager has trained the staff well; each one is very friendly, low pressure, and highly accommodating.

Would return.

This place is top notch! The staff is knowledgeable and extremely accommodating. The manager there went out of his way to help me with a currency issue we had. Can’t thank them enough.

We LOVED our stay here for our honeymoon in July of 2022.

Our travel agent booked our stay here. We were hoping for the classic Santorini experience with a gorgeous room and views and our room and view did not disappoint. The inside of the hotel room is very unique that goes along with the design of the hotel with the cave like features. Our room did not have a plunge pool, but that said we did have our own hot tub which was the next best thing and the pool and hot tub of the hotel that overlooks the water is gorgeous with a bar and great service and was never too crowded. All of the views are truly stunning. Right in the middle of Oia so walking distance to everything.

The staff was great. Special shout out to Martin who greeted us for our check in with drinks and all the info about the hotel and Oia that we needed to know!

Yonis (could be spelling wrong) was extremely friendly and genuinely always wanted to make sure we were having a great experience.

Would def stay here again!

If I could give over 5 stars I would. This place nailed it. Martin and his team truly made us feel like a VIP from the moment we arrived. I HIGHLY recommend. Food was fantastic, views were the best I have seen in the world and location can't be beat. I will 100% return someday.
