LIBRAIRIE ATLANTIS
The Atlantis library was born in 2002 in the crank mind of two English, Oliver and Craig, who fell in love with Santorini but complained that it was devoid of book stores. With a band of friends, they created this place which has no similar, where one moves between the narrow rows of books, the old books in Greek, rare and expensive editions of old philosophy, the children's tales, the English, French, French, Spanish, German. Many books have a link with Santorini, or at least with Greece, but everything is there. The smallest corners contain information or winks. Words, all of the words: on the ceiling, origamis with quotations; on the walls, extracts of books; between books and humour. English youth who keep the shop are all dynamic, creative, and never stop developing a lot of projects. At the moment there is an alternative map of Santorini, a book of Greek cuisine illustrated… We want to spend hours discovering the bookstore, only the rush of peak hours may stop us. But this is not to be missed!
